You, your company, and/or your friends can be a part of this holiday season by participating in one or more of the following programs:

Giving Tree—Place a Christmas tree in a high traffic area of your store or lobby. For areas lacking space for a physical tree, there are many options such as a Giving Tree poster on a wall, or a lighted tree outline on a window. It can be as creative as you wish! We will provide you with tags bearing information of children in need this season.

Gift Cards—We distribute gift cards to Safeway for low-income families to provide a nice holiday meal for their kids. If you or your company would like to help in these efforts we welcome your participation.

Toy Drive—Place one or more toy barrels in locations where employees or customers can drop off brand new toy donations. We will collect these toys and distribute them to pre-registered low-income families via our Toy & Joy Shop, where families are given the opportunity to choose gifts for their children for the holidays.

COMPASS SF

Event Name: Adopt-a-Family

Website: https://www.compass-sf.org/adoptafamily

Adopt-a-Family pairs individuals, families, civic groups, and corporate teams with Compass families who are homeless or at imminent risk and lack the resources to buy holiday gifts. For many families, these gifts will be the only ones they will receive during the holidays.

Over the last 20 years, families, individuals, and groups have made Adopt-a-Family a holiday tradition - the true meaning of the season - by giving gifts and showing compassion to others.
